Hi! My name is Scott Hyde. I am a Professor of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Math and Computing (other universities would call it College) at Brigham Young University -- Hawaii Locally, I am a member of the Mathematics Program (we used to be called the Department of Mathematics). Brigham Young University -- Hawaii is located in the small town of Laie, Hawaii. Here's my contact information:

I completed my Ph.D. in Statistics at Montana State University in August 2004. My dissertation is entitled "Robust Methods for Multivariate Linear Models with Spectral Models for Scatter Matrices".

The purpose of this website is to share educational materials with my students here at BYU-Hawaii. I've been doing this for many years!

My research interests (when I have time!) include Multivariate Statistics, the R statistical software package, RStudio, Linear Algebra (and Linear Models in Statistics), Numerical Analysis and math computation. I also enjoy programming and trying to make my life a bit easier with computers. The most important part of my life is my wife and my seven kids! Without them, I would not be the person I am today.
