- GNU Emacs: (a popular editor.
Stands for "Editor Macros". Released under the GPL).
- GNU Emacs + EmacsW32: (Latest CVS
Emacs with additional patches to make Emacs easier for windows
users to use. Recommended when installing R on windows. Released
under the GPL).
- Integrating R with Emacs
- Notepad++ Windows only all purpose
replacement for window's notepad. It's features include syntax
highlighting and folding, auto-completion, and many other features.
Coupled with the NppToR add on package for Notepad++, it turns
Notepad into an editor/executor or R code, and is equivalent to
the ESS package for Emacs.
- Tinn-R Windows only
